Acting on behalf of the Marshgate Group, Coke Gearing Consulting and Knight Frank have completed the sale of Plot 4 at Horizon 120 Business Park, Braintree, to Abrdn on behalf of their Long Lease Property Fund, who were represented by JLL.
Comprising a new unit of 136,000 sq ft on a site of 7.5 acres, this modern state of the art building (EPC Rating A and BREEAM ‘Very Good’) has been pre-let to Weston Group Plc for their British Offsite subsidiary.
Construction has now commenced with PC expected in August 2022. Readie Construction Limited have been appointed as the main contractor.
Horizon 120 is a 65-acre development site which will support up to 750,000 sq ft of mixed-use employment. This transaction follows sales to owner occupiers of c135,000 sq ft and brings the total under construction to c270,000 sq ft.
This investment is a major vote of confidence for this high-quality development, conceived and initially funded by Braintree District Council and delivered by the Marshgate Group.
